I bought 5 of these September 3, 2010 windy for an xmas gift for my sisters and they have enjoyed them and the price I paid made me happy
Great Magazine...if it would ever arrive. August 30, 2010 mpoznanski I am a huge fan of this magazine but it has been almost a year since I have successfully received another edition. I would reccomend a more trustworthy and reliable alternative. After several complaints that were answered with the same generic response I hope to just get a refund or at the very least warn others.
too slow August 27, 2010 Paula S. Nagode (Oklahoma) I ordered this magazine trough Amazon as a way to keep up w/ my subscription renewal dates but 2 1/2 months is way to long to wait for the first copy to arrive. I won't renew through amazon again.
My favorite food magazine August 21, 2010 Tessa Arias (Arizona) After thumbing through a few issues of Cooking Light last year at a friends house I realized that this was the type of magazine I was missing from my subscription collection. I asked for a subscription as a Christmas present last holiday season and it has been one of the best gifts I received. I love to cook and I also like to eat healthfully, but not to the point of obsession. I never count calories but do love to consume fresh and homemade food (none of that processed and artificial crap) and this magazine fits with my food philosophy. Since I'm only a recent subscriber, I can't attest to the magazine in comparison to the older issues which were formatted differently like some of the other reviewers have done. I can say, however, that I eagerly look forward to opening my mail box and seeing Cooking Light sitting inside, knowing that (unlike some of my other food magazines), I will almost definitely make at least a few recipes from each issue. In fact, several recipes from past issues of Cooking Light have made it into my monthly recipe repertoire and have become favorites in my household. I often find the food-related articles insightful and have managed to remember little tidbits while in the kitchen.
Cooking light does NOT mean cooking easy, nor cheap! July 29, 2010 Texi I am always looking for new inspiration in the kitchen, so I was excited to order this subscription. Unfortunately, I didn't realize how time intensive and expensive it would be to try these recipes. Maybe I'm just slow, but it seems I've been unable to make anything from this magazine in under an hour. And what's with all the fancy, hard-to-find ingredients? Sorry, I shop at Publix, not the farmer's market!
The few times I did go out of my way to get all the ingredients and follow the recipe to a T, I was not very impressed with the results and had spent about 3 times as much money than I would have on a regular dinner. What a waste!
And just an observation, if you LOVE arugula, then this magazine might just be for you, as they call for it in every other recipe.
