Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Bengal is a geographical region that today covers parts of India and Bangladesh, and forms part of the natural habitat of the majestic Royal Bengal Tiger. Chai -- a spiced tea typically made with black tea leaves -- is very popular in India. Bengal Spice is a naturally caffeine free version of this traditional brew made with herbs instead of tea leaves, as well as cinnamon, ginger, cardamom and a hint of vanilla. Adding a touch of cream or milk delivers a truly authentic chai experience! 100% Natural This product contains all-natural herbs and flavors, and no artificial colors or preservatives. This product contains zero calories. Ingredients: Cinnamon, roasted chicory, roasted carob, natural spice and vanilla flavors with other natural flavors, ginger, cardamom, black pepper, cloves and nutmeg. Gluten Free

5 out of 5 stars Just love them!   June 26, 2010

Bengal spice is just perfect either for Ice tea or for hot tea! Also it make the Chai latte special! Thanks!

5 out of 5 stars my favorite!   July 25, 2009
Lorel Shea (New England)
Bengal Spice tea is rich with cinnamon and a hint of sweetness. I drink it with or without honey- it's great either way. The aroma is fantastic! My nine year old daughter likes it too- though she doesn't steep her bag so long, as the sharp "spice" can be a bit overwhelming for her if allowed to become strong.

I have to add that we love the artwork on this box as well. All the Celestial Seasoning boxes are nice, but this one is exceptionally beautiful.

Ambrosia. Heart warming, add a bit of milk or cream No sugar or honey needed. Better than Chai..the Best!We all love it! No age preference...and try it iced!

5 out of 5 stars Good, but......   November 22, 2007
Marilyn S. Russell (Cleveland OH)
It's my recipient's favorite. However, I sent it expedited handling and it took from Monday to Friday to arrive. The cookbook, Cooking With Tea, which was to accompany the Bengal Spice Tea, arrived in about 10 days and had to be forwarded from California to Oregon as the recipient had already returned. It wasn't the tea, it was the s & h that was disappointing.

5 out of 5 stars The best chai-style tea I have found!   May 21, 2007
Novel Gazer (Miami, Florida)
Bengal Spice is yummy...full of NATURAL sweetness from the spices and so needs no sugar to register as beautifully sweet on the tongue. And also free of that strong clove taste that can be overpowering in many chai teas. I live on a nightly cup of it with soymilk in the cool months. If you like chais and haven't tried this tea yet...wait no longer!
