How would react if your husband admits to having an affair? Sophie Gibson is fit to be tired with rage and despair when her husband Andrew confesses his infidelity, while she was out of town with her best friend Marnie. When asked the question "why", of course the answer is "I don't know".

Going through the motions of asking for forgiveness and apologizing for his transgressions, Sophie throws Andrew out of the house because she can't stand the sight of him. Having some moments of grief, she eventually perks herself up and decides to have a tryst of her own with Andrew's ok. Sophie and Marnie decide to live it up a little and get out and have some fun. She meets Peter an up and coming filmmaker, the attraction is mutual when there eyes made contact. She decides to give this one night stand a try and ends up having an affair with him, thinking this will be a one night stand. Sophie ends up in lust and can't get enough of the endless sex and being treated like the queen which she wasn't getting at home. Little does she know that Peter is playing for keeps. He will do everything in his power to make it happen even if it becomes deadly.

Obsession will take you on an emotional rollercoaster. It's very erotic, leaving you wanting more and more. Very enjoyable read, with a twist of craziness. Nowadays you can't go around playing with feelings and emotions because you just might get what you ask for.

This book had me thinking about the statement '2 wrongs don't make a right' and also 'what looks good and feels good to you may end up being bad for you'. Sophie comes back from a cruise with her best friend and is told by her husband that he had a affair. He apologizes and begs her forgiveness and even tells her that she can have a affair if it will help them get back together. She tells him to leave and he calls her best friend to come and look out for her. Her best friend convinces her to go out and she may meet someone who she may want to have a affair or at least just go out to have some fun to cheer her up. Well, she does meet someone and feels a quick connection. His name is Peter and he treats her like she wants to be treated in and out of bed but he has a dark side that comes out that has her becoming afraid of him. She just wanted a quick affair but Peter is playing for keeps. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat when you read how far Peter will go to keep her and the ending will shock you. Yes you must be careful what you lust for because it may cost you more than you are willing to pay.

I picked this book up on my way to work just to have something to read and I was highly surprised at how good it was! I was drawn in from the first chapter.

Sophie has been married to a man she loves and adores for eight years, but her world starts to slowly fall apart when her husband confesses that he's been having an affair.

Expereince the different emotions Sophie goes through as she ponders over whether to forgive her husband or accept his offer to even the score-"Sleep with another man, but don't leave me."

From the first page to the last Obsession was an EMOTIONAL rollercoaster ride..and the sex..OMG...I had to put the book down a few times to cool myself off!

Kayla Perrin definitely stepped her game up with this one!

Ms. Perrin writes good erotica - but how many times readers need to read the same storyline under a different author/cover? The cheating-husband-wife-revenge-with-a-sexy-affair-that-becomes-an-obession-ending-in- violence has been written a thousand times if not more. Authors, publishers and editors all have to wake up and understand that readers are demanding more - This book is Fatal Attraction 2008 - Ironically, Ms. Perrin refers to this 20 year old movie in her book. Great sex scenes - but that alone does not make a good book. Quick read and of course very predictable.
