Product Description As easy to use as it is to refill, the OXO Salt and Pepper Grinders are just what every kitchen needs. These grinders can be adjusted from coarse to fine. A noncorrosive ceramic grinder won't absorb flavors or odors, which means it can be used as a spice grinder. The clear body makes it easy to see when it's time to refill. This spice grinder lies flat when it's being refilled. Filled with either salt or black peppercorns. Grinders come individually or in a set. Made of stainless steel and plastic. Assembly level/degree of difficulty: No Assembly Required.

Good Pepper Grinder, Could Easily Be Better July 28, 2010 Tony in Murrieta, CA (Murrieta, CA) I've owned this grinder for almost 1yr and use on a daily basis. I think it's a good grinder, just needs to be fine tuned by Oxo.
Positives - Looks good.
Feels good in the hand.
Appears to be of good quality.
Negatives - Bottom cap has come off a couple of times for no reason, peppercorns
everywhere.
Grind adjustment is set on fine, however pepper comes out
course.
I love this grinder! July 27, 2010 D. V. Thomas (3 Pts., AZ) I am happy to sing the praises for this pepper grinder by OXO. It is easy to use, has an adjustment for different coarseness of pepper and look pretty sitting by my stove. I LOVE pepper and use alot of it in my cooking. I appreciate the multiple grind settings from very coarse to very fine and everything in between. It is easy to fill and easy to use. The grinding mechanism is on the top, so it doesn't leak pepper crumbs all over the counter when not in use. I appreciated that it came filled and ready to use. It is sturdy and I feel confident that it will last even with heavy daily usage. Like many higher end grinders, the grinding mechanism is ceramic. An added bonus is that it doesn't cost alot. I have found OXO products to be well made and will continue to purchase this brand.
OXO Pepper Grinder June 24, 2010 Richard L. Perry (Florissant, MO USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This grinder is great. Not very large and very functional --- simple to load and use and the cutting mechanism works better than any pepper grinder that I have used.
Love it! I recommended it to all my friends. June 22, 2010 Kieriel (Arizona) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This pepper grinder is awesome!
The adjustable grind settings actually WORK, which is a huge plus! I've had so many pepper grinders that were supposedly "adjustable" be crap, and it's very disappointing.
The upright design keeps grinds off of your counters/table, which is nice! And it's very easy to refill.
It comes pre-filled with peppercorns, which I haven't seen many grinders have when shopping at various big box stores in the recent past. They may not be the best gourmet peppercorns that money can buy, but they're good quality black peppercorns.
The price! I love the price! So many pepper grinders are poorly designed AND overpriced... finding this one was a dream come true for me. Forget spending $90 on another brand! And honestly, at this price, if it does have some kind of defect or breaks somewhere in the semi-near future... I'll just buy another one.
Oxo has silently updated the pepper grinder. June 8, 2010 Poiuyt Man (Wichita, Kansas, United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I work at Bed Bath & Beyond, and our newest shipment included a slightly-updated version of the Oxo Good Grips Pepper Grinder. The rubber turning mechanism is now scalloped inward to provide a better grip. The biggest change is that the lid on the peppercorn chamber is now fully threaded and requires several turns to remove it. I'm guessing this is to fix the problem many customers had with the lid inadvertently unscrewing and falling off. I tested out the fineness of the grind and it seems to be unchanged -- the fine grind might still be a bit coarse for some palates. There are also minor cosmetic changes to the ceramic grinding mechanism and the coarseness lever.
