Not Worth It July 9, 2010 Tiki Tom (Bend, OR USA) Like many of the the other reviewers I bought this in the hopes of having a good, easy to clean spice and nut grinder. What I got was the second worst longevity award. First time out of the box I tried to grind up some hazelnuts for a recipe. The motor lasted 45 seconds. There was no plume of smoke, no funny smell, just a motor that would not come on again. I cleaned it out and tried it again -- same result. Do yourself a favor and get a coffee grinder. They are harder to clean but at least they have a motor that is up to the task.
It is a great grinder June 12, 2010 I. Goel (Seattle, WA) I really like this grinder. Sonce the day I have bought this I have started grinding nuts ans spices at home. No more buying it from shops but grinding it fresh. Its healthy and no more chances of eating adulterants.
Cuisinart Spice Grinder June 2, 2010 L. Bastian My old Cuisinart Spice grinder finally gave out after 15+ years. I needed an appliance that could grind leather hard citrus peel into dust.(I'm a soap maker). My Cuisinart food processor could not do it. The Cuisinart Spice grinder made quick work of a difficult medium to grind. The motor did not bog or overheat. I am VERY pleased with it's performance.
Great Grinder May 24, 2010 Gayl Henze (Philadelphia, PA USA) This does what it was meant to do, grind nuts, and spices, even dried bread into bread crumbs. It is handy, as it is not too bulky and not difficult to take out and put away. I haven't tried coffee yet, but I imagine it would work fine in limited quantities. Cleans easily.
Don't buy it! Dies right out of the box May 4, 2010 N. Urban (Berkeley, CA United States) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've returned two of these, normal use with nuts and spices in small amounts. The first died on the very first use, and I got another only because of the positive reviews here. The second burned out after four or five uses. There's some problem with the motor, and the blade design just doesn't seem suited to nuts. Skip this one and get something else.
