Product Description Preparing fresh herbs is simple with the OXO Good Grips Herb Mincer. Its stainless steel blades quickly chop fresh leafy herbs like parsley, basil, cilantro and more. A soft, non-slip grip keeps hands away from blades while cutting. Use the front end as a scraper to gather herbs into a pile for more efficient mincing. The Mincer opens partially to wipe the blades free of collected herbs and separates completely into 2 pieces for easy cleaning. The Herb Mincer is dishwasher safe. Special Features: Stainless steel blades quickly mince fresh herbs Opens partially to wipe blades clean of collected herbs Soft, non-slip grip keeps hands away from blades while cutting Front end serves as scraper to gather herbs into a pile while mincing Separates into two pieces for easy cleaning Plastic cover prevents blades from being exposed during storage

Love it! August 14, 2010 Chief I have used this thing when I make Guacamole and love the way it saves so much time mincing the Cilantro and other veggies. Cleanup is a snap and it is still just as sharp as when I bought it.
Works Great August 12, 2010 ltnbrn (Ohio) I bought this recently based on the reviews and am very pleased with its performance. I'm pretty handy with a knife so this was purchased in the hopes of making the chopping of herbs less of a chore. And it does. I have used it on basil, parsley and garlic so far. It minces the leafy herbs quite well. Yes, it can make a "mushy mess" out of them, but so can using a knife. The key is to ensure that the herbs are thoroughly dry before cutting them. It did poorly with the garlic, however. It only cut the cloves into smaller chunks, which then only got stuck in between the blades. This was disappointing since I was mostly interested in using it for garlic (I find mincing garlic a most irritating task). However, the description of the mincer mentions leafy herbs specifically, and not herbs like garlic, so I can't really hold it against this device.
All-in-all, a convenient extra to have in the kitchen.
Exactly what an herb gardener needs July 25, 2010 P. Hartigan (kansas city) Knife mincing just does not cut it with herbs. This gadget does a find job. It also is easy to clean. I love the protective cover it has. I don't worry about putting it in the utensils drawer.
Baby food cutter July 22, 2010 Jack's Mom (Wisconsin) I used this to cut up food for our infant as he was starting to eat with his fingers and could eat some of our table food. It works GREAT on toast, chicken breast, veggies, you name it - it cuts it.
Works Great on Dry Herbs May 31, 2010 T. Kipp I hate cooking prep work and this helps speed it up. Works best on dry herbs - wet stick. It does disassemble for cleaning, but we lost one of the plastic "nuts" in the dishwasher, so be careful when doing this. Seems to be holding together without, but now I just rinse in the sink. I've given as gifts to two people since I like so much - my knives seem to just "bend" herbs and not mince.
