This mortar & pestle 2,5 inch is perfect for what it was designed for...pills or small nuts or berries. It ls lightweight and compact and will fit almost anywhere....If you are looking to grind fresh or dried herbs...Look Elswhere, but you will not be disappointed with it's intended use !

It's as tiny as it says, but simple and effective if all you need is to crush pills, which is what I bought it for. No problems, it's exactly what it says it is.

I was looking for a small mortar and pestle to crush aspirin for my arthritic dog. This is easy to use, crushes the pills evenly and I am able to mix it in with her wet food. No more wondering if she actually ate the asprin or if it will turn up under a couch where she spit it out whole!
